Futurework
New Ways of Thinking, Leading and Working
“We face some difficult challenges. As a society, within our organisations and communities – and for each of us individually.
As a Futurist I’ve learnt that the future is all around us. By training our minds to make neurological leaps in thinking, in the chaos and complexity of change it is possible to see new ways forward.
Equipping leaders and teams to solve complex problems – making far more of the people and resources they already have at hand.
Making more of the capability within our organisations. Within each of us.”
– Futurist Dave Wild
Our world has changed.
The environment we operate in has become more complex and uncertain. As a result this more changeable operating environment requires leaders who are more change able.
Leaders who are naturally collaborative, inclusive and adaptive. Knowing that uncertainty creates new possibilities.
The days of leaders having all the answers are past.
Modern leadership involves co-creating solutions to complex challenges with diverse teams and communities. This workplace adaptation depends on a fundamental shift in thinking – from a fixed mindset to a growth Mindleap.
Why? We can only work in new ways if we can also lead in new ways. Leading in new ways requires thinking in new ways. By developing new thought patterns. New leadership habits.
Resulting in a modern set of skills ready for the future of work.
Ready for today.
Welcome to Futurework.
Futurework is a leadership development programme, where you learn and apply leading-edge Future of Work skills. The group format equips you with a modern workplace Leadership Toolkit and expert coaching with Futurist Dave Wild – combined with the support and insight of other future-focused leaders across a diverse community of organisations taking part.
As a foundational skill you’ll learn how to shift perspectives from a fixed mindset to a growth Mindleap. Discovering that digital leadership doesn’t require being a technology expert. Shifting from having all the answers, to knowing how to inclusively inspire and guide diverse teams forward.
Creating meaningful change doesn’t happen through thought alone. So you’ll then develop and apply within your organisation a set of eight critical Futurework skills…
Progressing forward with Visionary and Strategic frameworks
Leveraging resources with Inclusive and Digital capabilities
Expanding opportunities with Collaborative and Innovative methods
Actioning change with Adaptive and Impactful outcomes
By the conclusion of the Futurework programme you will have developed a leading-edge set of leadership skills needed in the modern workplace. Inspiring others with new possibilities. Shifting teams and projects forward. Upskilling your own capabilities and others around you.
Creating a greater future today.
The Futurework Leadership Programme
is supported by the Futurework Guidebook
The Futurework Leadership Programme equips you with:
The Futurework Leadership Programme brings together cohorts of future-focused leaders to work together in person, supported by a comprehensive series of short video lessons with online group coaching sessions over six weeks.
By applying your learnings to actual work activities during the programme, you learn and develop a critical set of eight Futurework skills for leading in the changed work environment…
Progressive Thinking
Visionary Leadership
Vision means to see. Develop your visionary ability to create clarity from complexity. Elevate your thinking to comprehend the big picture, while inspiring others to achieve greater outcomes.
Strategic Leadership
Strategy is a plan of action to achieve major aims. Learn how to develop strategic initiatives that energise and inspire in times of change, while accelerating forward ahead of fast-changing conditions.
Leveraged Thinking
Inclusive Leadership
Future-focused leaders surround themselves with diversity to energise themselves and their organisation, shifting and adapting to the changes all around us. Develop new skills for engaging with diverse communities for greater understanding and impact.
Digital Leadership
Artificial intelligence depends on machine learning – giving computers the ability to make themselves “smarter.” Increasing our human intelligence depends on our own ability to recode. Developing new thought patterns, shifting out-dated behaviour patterns. Learn how to hack your own thinking to rapidly develop digital skills.
Developing Futurework skills builds the organisational capabilities
needed to adapt in fast-changing uncertain environments
Expansive Thinking
Collaborative Leadership
Collaboration doesn’t simply mean teamwork. Collaboration involves pushing beyond your typical day-to-day interactions – which is why collaborators cross established boundaries. Learn how to align complex systems by co-creating outcomes with others – from ethnically-diverse customers to generationally-diverse colleagues.
Innovative Leadership
Innovative, high-impact thinking goes beyond the predictable to create greater possibilities. Learn how to detect the signals of the future that are all around you. Developing new innovation skills to lead forward in ever-changing conditions.
Active Thinking
Adaptive Leadership
Adapting to changing conditions requires being comfortable with new ideas that don’t make sense at first. Learn how to lean into the discomfort to discover new ways forward. Adapting perspectives and associated decisions to shift with agility in uncertain environments.
Impactful Leadership
Ideas are powerful. Sometimes. All too often they have little impact. Why? Because they remain as just ideas. Lost in a haze of meetings, discussions and reports. Develop your ability to create clarity and accelerate progress by making the intangible tangible. Making the leap from idea to impact.
